Please pray for Jon.

My cousin Jon Thomann has been in the hospital the last week. He fell down a flight of concrete stairs and did some major damage to his head that required brain surgery. He has not fully become consious yet, but there are indications that he is becoming more active. This has been a trying time and has been hard on all of us.

Please pray for his recovery. If you would like to know more about his current situation, his girlfriend, parents and brother are keeping us all updated with this website/blog:

If you would like to help out financially, there has been a new Support Fund recently set up. You may send checks to the

Jon Thomann and Family Support Fund
P.O. Box 1262
Columbia MO 65205-1262

For more information on the fund and its purpose, you may contact Cathi Harris at 573-220-6582.

I'M SICK OF SPAM!

I'm sick of spam in my email's inbox. It's completely gone crazy. What used to be my main email account currently has over three thousand entries in the spam box. A good portion of what isn't in there is landing in my normal Inbox... and I have some good filters in place that took me a long time to build up over time... At one point in time I had over 23k in unread email in spam box. The only reason my email address has lasted through all of this instead of overflowing is because it's a huge gmail account...

When all this started, and still today, I will occassionally forward spam emails to spam@whatever.com or admin@whatever.com where whatever.com is the .com listed in the email's from address as well as to whoever the email says to reply to for the phishing schemes to work, and also sending a copy to spam@uce.gov. Unfortunately, I don't think any of it's helping. I saw some spam mail blogs this morning elsewhere and am wondering if I shouldn't start something similar here... maybe set this blog up to accept emails as posts and set up one special email address to forward to here that will auto delete emails after forwarding them here... and then forward all the spam crap here via that route... not sure I want to do that since that makes me a spammer, but at the same time, it'll let you see the emails that I'm getting along with a warning in this blog's head telling you to never respond to this junk and that maybe you should investigate the spam companies mentioned here since they are often pulling phishing schemes using their own .com or something similar... so maybe this place, even though it'd be a den of evil, would allow you to see the email addresses and .coms that you should NOT trust and give you some more ideas on how you can go after the companies that are doing this crap?
